Susan McDougall
My interest in a career working with seniors began as a teenager. My grandparents lived a five minute walk away, and the door was always open. More years later than I would care to admit, I still have vivid memories of card games, delicious food, and lots of laughs. Following college, I was employed as the Program Coordinator of a non-profit Retirement Community for twelve years, and most recently as a Care Planner for one of Canada's largest home care providers. I live in Pickering with my husband and two teenagers and am thrilled to be starting my next chapter offering personalized support to seniors in Scarborough and the Durham Region.

My vision for Other Hands is a small, personalized and compassionate support company offering services at the most affordable price possible and paying the Support Provider a fair wage.

All of our clients have a unique Support Plan, developed by Other Hands' Support Manager, our client's family and the Support Provider. The Support Plans are different, but the end goal is always an improvement in our client's physical, emotional and social well-being. We are able to accommodate one time, occasional and ongoing support.
